Back by popular demand…Midnight Shift gives encore to what was for many the best live performance in Singapore for 2012: KiNK. Since his debut on our shores in May last year, KiNK has risen to stratospheric heights. He has conquered festivals the world over with his raw, energetic acid-laden live sets and is now back to give us a taste once more. If you were with us last year, you know he’s not to be missed.

“Take the soul and the groove of house and techno, the futurism and detail of experimental electronica and the raw energy of acid” – this is how Strahil Velchev defines his style. Armed with his bag of toys and tools, the Bulgarian has yet to disappoint; gaining quick admiration from every dancefloor fan of any leaning.

Warming up for KiNK will be Kaye from fellow homegrown label Darker Than Wax. He has impressed before with his Midnight Shift-exclusive techno and house hybrid live set. One year on, he is back to showcase his talent once again, no doubt having escalated several notches since his last appearance.

Norman Chung, kyō’s resident and Singapore’s techno soldier will too be up to bat. The DJ and producer has been released on labels such as Logos, Sino, Hypnotic Room and Crayon and after numerous club stints, helms down Saturdays at kyō with his brand of techno.

Also from the Darker Than Wax stable comes William J, with Canadian and UK origins. His ever evolving hybrid sound blends together a diverse range of styles, including UK bass and funky, old school house, garage, bmore, dancehall, footwork, jackin' and grime. His forward thinking selection, quick mixing, versatility, and strong knowledge of dance music history brings a fresh sound to the underground scene in Singapore.

Burrows will be making sure it’s visuals bizness as usual. Reprise.
