"Five great enemies to peace inhabit with us: avarice, ambition, envy, anger, and pride. If those enemies were to be banished. we should infallibly enjoy perpetual peace." ~ Francesco Petrarca

All of us have these five traits within us, but they have more strength than others in some of us. In order to find that inner peace, we need to diminish or suppress these traits and improve on or build strength in the traits that will find us peace, freedom, and success in ourselves. Daily self-reflection is a good way of doing this, such as prayer, meditation, even when we look out to space.

We can learn to master these characteristics, while others live by them. And you can tell who harbors these traits, by their actions, their speech, and their situation. Those who embrace these traits, do not live peace lives and they envy those who do. And when they see those who are at peace and living successfully, try to sabotage their success, by speaking negatively about the person, what they do, and what they have.

You may have come across people who harbor these traits and they have effected you. They want your success or they don't want you to have it, because they don't have it, so they will do everything to try to sabotage it. Do not feed into this. They will eventually hang themselves. Instead of trying to gain the success that they want to achieve or learn how to gain the success that you have, they wish to tear yours down.

But just remember this, you got to where you got to, because you are who you are, and they are where they are at, because they are who they are. If they where you they would have your success and freedom, but they are not and they can never be. They can only be them. If you can, try to help them, teach them, coach them. But if they are so blinded by these five traits that they don't want to see what you have to show them or hear what you have to say, fine, let them fly. Just continue to do what you have been doing, and let no other persons negative mind state dictate your actions.

Don't forget! You are where you are, because you are who you are!
