A brief summary video of three dives at Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary.
In October, 2013, the Bay Area Underwater Explorers (baue.org), in collaboration with NOAA, mounted a weeklong dive expedition to Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary off of the dive boat Escapade.
This video shows clips from three dives at Northern West Ridge, Northern East Ridge, and Craines Point. On the days that we visited the bank, there were enormous schools of both adult and juvenile rockfish (mostly widows), beautiful clear blue water, and structures completely covered by a variety of colorful sponges and anemones.
The expedition would not have been possible without the support of NOAA, the Bodega Bay Marine Laboratory, Any Water Sports, and the crew of the Escapade.
