Finally got Helix's second extruder installed and ran a print with dual materials. This video shows a blue ABS print with white HIPS support material. Print took about seven hours.
HIPS dissolves in limonene, so I should have dunked this thing in a limonene bath to remove the support. But we didn't have limonene and I really wanted to get this video posted, so I removed the support with good ol' fashioned elbow grease. Took about ten minutes. Actually removed very cleanly. Way cleaner than same-material support. Could still use a limonene dunk to remove last remnants.
This is exciting! Printing with supports that don't leave ugly artifacts behind is something we've been wanting to do for a long time!
