Back in the early '90's, Imbi and I met a rather interesting South African character, Malcolm du Plessis in Dallas, TX of all places. Mal had been the person behind Friends First, a well known South African band. The day after we met Mal, he was off to have lunch with Hilary Clinton.
Mally ended up as a VP of Maranatha! Music and got Imbi and I involved with producing a number of videos for them. The first one was a multi-camera shoot at Calvary Chapel Capo Beach with Chris Falson and the Amazing Stories - in early '93, I believe.
Rob Mathes, who has gone on to be a well known arranger, producer and music director was the audio producer on this project as well as playing piano and guitar - and singing. (See I See the Lord)
Chris is one of my favourite people on the planet, whose music I dearly love. On this tune, Chris writes a fresh tune for the 19th century hymn, I Love to Tell the Story. Two Taylor acoustic guitar and a Taylor acoustic bass are featured.
Musos include Neville L'Green on bass and David Raven on drums.
