I visited the Smoky Mountains this year in September. My friends had reserved a cabin in the Deep Creek area. This is a one minute sliver of my first morning there. Other than the numerous chirps and squeaks of birds and squirrels, you should be able to hear nuts falling incessantly on the gravel around me.
