I mounted a GoPro Hero 2 camera inside a classroom because I needed a constant power supply (wall outlet) and shelter from the elements and theft. Camera settings were: 1080p wide, 5 mp, interval 1 shot every 30 seconds.
Playback is 15 fps. The Wi-Fi BacPac (from GoPro) sent a signal from camera to local computer. I then used software to "mirror" the desktop of that local computer so I could control the camera over the internet. This was ideal because I could turn the camera on and off (skipping night time) thereby saving disk space and trips to the school.
This way I could shoot the whole playground over 3 months! This particular scene took place over 2 days, I think.
