What's the point of this maneuver? Accelerating to a red light where two cars are in front of her. She has literally no where to go, and it's not like traffic is blocking her approach so that she can't determine the situation. It was a pointless and yet dangerous lane change.
If lights or sirens were activated, I would have pulled over prior to the mixing zone, but she wasn't on a call. It was just poor driving in the #135 Ambulance.
LifeStar, please look to hire/train your drivers to a higher standard. If they're driving in a city, they need to know how to drive around cyclists. This type of maneuver is an inconvenience and annoyance to a driver, but it can be injurious or worse when a cyclist is involved.
