Circle singing is at the heart of the Circles of Songs performance created by artist Raffaella Crispino. For two hours, the public is invited to join freely and for as long as they want in the singing improvisations directed by three experienced choir leaders: Liévine Hubert, Tom Mannaerts and Baptiste Vaes. Sharing the same tune during an encounter between people who do not know each other and creating complicity through rehearsals stripped of any cultural references are at the heart of this spontaneous collective moment.
The drawings guide the different moments of the collective performance, in their primary colours and shapes they are reminiscent of inner sports fields and invite play. They are the material support of the collective movements of bodies in space.
Throughout this performance, which invites us to experience a different way of living together, bodies and choirs will unfold in the Horta Hall, forming and deconstructing in turn the symbol of the Third Paradise by Michelangelo Pistoletto.
