The family Greg Baldwin, along with ZGF Principal Bob Packard and many friends and colleagues, are coming together to name PNCA’s 3D Lab in the Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for Art and Design after the much-beloved local architect.
"Architects leave marks on projects, buildings," said U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer, a longtime friend who worked with Baldwin on many projects. "Greg has those. But his genius was to involve people in a positive and constructive way. I think his legacy is that we're able to do more and better things easier here."
The 3D Lab will commemorate the joy Greg Baldwin had not only in creating large scale projects, but in his own home woodshop and workshop. The 3D Lab includes creative workspaces for three core PNCA programs - the Woodshop, Workshop, and Plaster/Clay Studios - and will be right off of the New Commons, at the heart of PNCA's public exhibition, lecture, and public programming space.
