One of the most misunderstood and misquoted verses in the New Testament is Luke 6:38 where Jesus tells us, “Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” Let me suggest that this verse has nothing to do with God blessing us when we give money to the church or to Him.
