The Brief: Loyal Kaspar came to us with ID concepts for a new Japanese TV channel. We were asked to flesh out 3D storyboards for 3 ideas they were pitching, then produce the IDs that were ultimately selected.
What we did:
All of the concepts involved highly realistic pieces of glass and other materials that, when joined together formed the channel's logo. These pieces move as if magnetized, coming together and falling apart until the logo is revealed. We used V-Ray to achieve the ultra macro look, And Autodesk Maya to create the animation.
