In August 2011 Andy Madeley and Matt McDonald set out to cycle from London to Sydney in aid of War Child (http://www.warchild.org.uk/). 16 months, 25,000km and three continents later they achieved their dream. Andy returned home to England but Matt continued on alone.
Matt decided to cycle the length of the Andes from Ushuaia in Argentina to Cartegena in Colombia. He faced many challenges arriving in South America: cycling solo, treacherous weather and a fall in a landslide. Matt and Andy are raising money for War Child, a small international charity who help children living in conflict zones. They aim to raise £50,000 of which over half has already been raised. There is still a long way to go but Matt and Andy and determined to achieve this and help War Child continue their amazing work protecting the innocent victims of war.
