Artist Jack Maxwell completed the monumental Jacob’s Dream sculpture for the centennial of Abilene Christian University in 2006. The work was widely celebrated, and Jack spent the next several years searching for ways to introduce the sculpture to new audiences. In 2013 he was introduced to Captured Dimensions, a 3D digitization startup co-founded by ACU alumnus Jordan Williams. Williams and his team spent a week scanning the sculpture, and their resulting data provided a high-resolution model of Jacob's Dream not only for digital experience and preservation, but also for reproduction at scales the artist himself was unable to achieve through traditional methods.
