Chef Justin Bogle, a Philadelphia native, is returning home to open Avance on the site of the former Le Bec Fin. Bogle aims to humanize haute cuisine — connecting with diners through elemental ingredients that reflect the seasons of the region. His menu is modern American in its approach, featuring a progressive pantry that takes full advantage of hyperlocal flavors and his ability to elicit them.
Bogle will translate the techniques that earned him two Michelin stars at NYC's Gilt to create a culinary experience with a sense of place, based on relationships with farmers, merchants, and the dining community at large.
Avance will open its doors early December 2013.
