Farra Trompeter, Vice President at Big Duck, a communications firm that works exclusively with nonprofits, will lead the workshop. She has 20 years of experience in communications and fundraising, with a focus on helping nonprofits use social media, email, websites, and multichannel campaigns to increase visibility, raise funds, and connect with their communities. Trompeter holds an M.S. degree in nonprofit management from The New School, where she also teaches a class about online engagement for nonprofits. She tweets about nonprofit fundraising and communications via @farra.
This workshop, the latest in Columbia University’s Strategic Communications Workshop Series, will give communicators a deeper understanding of how they can use online channels to better recruit, retain, and engage supporters.
