I love creating these astrotimelapses. This one was made at Shaver Lake, CA. We found this place searching light pollution maps for dark mountain lakes.
My brother and I shot this using two Nikon D600s, a Canon 7D, and a Canon 6D. Our lenses were a Nikon 16mm fisheye (the milky way shot), a Nikon 17-35 (the transition from day to night), Canon 24-105mm on the 7D, and the Canon 16-35mm on the 6D which we used for all the dolly shots.
This video was also a test of my timelapse dolly v2.0, which is much lighter weight and runs on less power than the original.
