Timmy Global Health, an Indianapolis-based nonprofit organization that seeks to expand access to health care worldwide is hosting it’s 13th annual “Kids helping Kids” wrestling event on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Park Tudor High School.
Dr. Chuck Dietzen, founder and president of Timmy Global Health, will face his pediatric rehabilitation patients and other local children with unique physical disabilities in the ring to help raise funds, awareness, and support for Timmy Global Health’s global health programs.
This event gives kids with special needs the opportunity to show off their abilities in the ring! Proudly responding to the challenge to takedown "Dr. Doom" Dietzen, a former professional wrestler and football player turned humanitarian doctor, each TIMMY TAKEDOWN participant steals the spotlight in an event that often brings laughs, tears, and a whole lot of fun. A unique and heartwarming event, Dr. Chuck's patients use their talents to raise funds for the communities and families Timmy Global Health supports around the world.
While "Dr. Doom" and his tag team partners “Big Brian” and “Mighty Joe” face off one-on-one with participants, the kids are the real heroes of the event. "These remarkable kids are not to be underestimated" Dietzen said. "Amazingly, I have never been able to defeat any of the young wrestlers. Outside of the ring, they masquerade as sweet, lovable kids, but inside the ring it's a different story."
Truly an empowering, unique experience for both the wrestlers and the crowd alike, the TIMMY TAKEDOWN is one of the most exciting, fun and awe-inspiring events held in Indianapolis each year. In addition to headlocks and tag teams, there will be food for sale, music, great raffle prizes and much more. Families, students, and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Come help cheer on the wrestlers as they TAKEDOWN "Dr. Doom." After all, a little fun is often the best form of medicine.
