This is ongoing Central Valley Business Times coverage of the saga of Governor Jerry Brown's "wet dream" of building a 30 mile underground twin tunnel in the California Delta. The tunnels would be connected to the Sacramento River near Courtland and Hood and have numerous negative impacts on the Delta for business and residents. This video done Nov. 5, 2013 spotlights Santa Barbara County County being asked to renew their DWR contract far in advance of its expiration date, plus tie into paying for a portion of the twin tunnels multi billion boondoggle costs that are bound to keep escalating by billions more. Currently, the projected range is $25 billion, according to the BDCP/DWR, but other scholarly experts put the cost between $50 billion-$100 billion.
