FS20131020 - Over the last few weeks we have been reminded that we have the ability to make choices that can positively affect the world around us! Our decisions to serve others, foster unity and step up can help ourselves and those around us to become better. Today we will talk about a key element in the process, the decision to be whole. This term Whole may be defined as: 1- comprising the full quantity, amount extent, number, etc., without diminution or exception; entire, full or total; 2- containing all the elements properly belonging, complete.
Pastor Dave asks us to consider an "invalid" man in John 5 that experienced wholeness after an encounter with Christ. He was asked a simple question by Jesus, "Do you want to get well?" The word used for well in the Greek is hugies - pronounced hoog-ee-ace, which means "Healthy sound, cured, freexcd or healed". It denotes a process from one state to another state. Do you want to be well?
