Boys and Flowers was born out of my desperation to fill an empty space. I received this studio while pursuing my MFA in Film but some of the instructors encouraged me to go into Studio Arts which I did. They gave me a studio and I had no idea what I was going to do with it seeing that all of my work was done on location and on a computer. I decided to fill the 12 x 16' space with a skate ramp that Jeremy Boyle helped me construct and who also provided the sound track with his band Joan of Arc. This was a one year project that turned into my MFA project which was screened with the dissembled ramp in the gallery.
