After a long Sunday morning, I had told my girlfriend Renee that we would go take some pictures in the fall leaves because autumn was her favorite season and we weren't going to be able to be engaged in time to get good pictures. So I took Renee on what she thought was going to be a photo shoot and told her that we had a secret project we were going to work on too. So we took some pictures with my camera and tripod and then I set it up for a time lapse of our project. The project was counting coins. Since Jr. High I've been keeping all of my spare change to help pay down an engagement ring. So I laid out a blanket and had her help me count out the last of the quarters. In the bottom of the last quarter jar I had hidden her ring. As she dumped out enough quarters to see the ring she said, "Wait, what's that? That's not a quarter!" at which point I took a knee and asked her to stand, told her she made so incredibly happy that I couldn't wait another day to do the same for her. I proposed and she said yes. And then I gave her my amended vows (For better, for richer, in health, until you're dead haha) and we both had a good laugh. It was fantastic and went off without a hitch!
