This is a model to work out details of an idea I had a while ago. It's patent applied for, but needs collaborators to take it further.
I was working in an eco-house company and we had a dilemma selecting low-e films for our high-spec double-glazed windows. Do you let the sun's energy in, for more free heat? Or shade the inside from infrared, to prevent overheating. The perfect answer is to use a brise-soleil outside, overhanging the window, so the sunlight only enters the building when the sun is low in the sky. But, a bride-soleil isn't practical for a lot of buildings, so I started thinking about how the same principle might work in a window. Here's the idea. I'm looking for like-minded people or collaborators to help bring these ideas to life….
