“Ot Nisto Nesto - Sustainable Young Artists' Convention” is the name of the 1.2 project, sponsored by the European Comission through the Youth in Action Program.
It is a multilateral art convention project where 16 young artists and handcrafters from Bulgaria, Germany and Romania met between 10.07.- 21.07.2013 in Batanii Mari, Romania. The participating artists are young people with different cultural, social, professional and mentality background. All of us are focused on art, connecting different cultures and countries as well as our ecological environment.
During the Art convention, we wanted to exchange and further develop our artistic, cultural and social competence through workshops, but also to create a bridge of communication between art and society. During the 12 days activities we designed, organized and build sculptures and 3 dimensional objects out of trash, waste and natural materials. These were obtained without harming the ecological balance and re-using already existing materials and objects. The priorities of our project were to include young artists with fewer opportunities, increase the awareness and tolerance for a multicultural society and also to promote the idea of sustainable development. The main aim was to get to know new art methods, as well as to express our creativity and to self-develop. In the European Community we see these gained skills as crucial and they will be used later in our future works, studies and in the further collaboration with others Internationally.
