Australia’s National Library is hosting an exhibition of the history of cartography from the time of ancient Greece to Europeans’ explorations.
The exhibition is called ‘The Mapping of Our World.’ It includes over a hundred and thirty maps, wall charts, atlases, paintings, clocks, cartography and navigational instruments. Reports say many of these items have never been seen in the southern hemisphere before. Pieces from the British Library, the Vatican and the National Library of France are among this collection.
