While I've been very active in filming and editing as a high school teacher of video production and movie making, I hadn't worked on any private productions in awhile. This beautiful couple awakened my love for creative filmmaking again. Last summer I was asked if I would take on this job, and I'm really glad I did! This was a beautiful wedding, a great group of friends, good atmosphere, and a very nice story to capture. I teamed up with Electric Lime studios on this project, Dan is a great cinematographer. Much of the film was shot using glide cams, and much of the tripod work was done using a nice follow focus. Sound was recorded onto a Tascam device and subbed in after using plural eyes to match up the audio. Since then I've upgraded to the new Zoom H6 for sound. I used final cut x and premiere cs6 with the edit. There's certain aspects I like in both, but the auto save auto render troubled me in final cut x. To be honest I just miss the old Final Cut Pro, but I cant continue to edit on a program that continues to grow older with no updates. The final edit included a 3 camera documentary style edit of the ceremony, a Reception edit, along an edit with Interviews from the guests. I received great feedback from the couple and other guests, and now I'm looking work on similar projects in the future, and and start the business back up!
