Steam Locomotive No. 844 (Union Pacific 844 Shiloh Limited) rolls by my house, in Bellevue, Nebraska, the morning of March 25, 2012. It is on its way to North Little Rock, Arkansas, to arrive there on March 30. On Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1, the train will be on display from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and the Steam Souvenir Car will be open. This was such an exciting moment on our sunny Sunday morning.

This is part of the Union Pacific's celebration of 150 years of history. At the end of this train, you will see historical Civil War relics... watch closely.

"4-8-4 Northern", I believe, is the type of locomotive. It has 4 pilot wheels, 8 drivers, and 4 trailer wheels. I believe Alco was the builder.
