Walking the Dog is a participatory animation project that aims to explore perceptions of mental health. Participants were aged 16-96 in NELFT mental health services, local colleges, libraries and other council services. It is a collection of cross-pollinated work that explores common issues of stigma, isolation and mental health. The films touch universal themes, presented from personal perspectives and understanding of life as lived by the people of Redbridge. Be careful not to assume who made which film, it is not as obvious as it may seem. These films have been used to inform a piece of public art that will be placed in the grounds of Goodmayes Hospital for everyone to experience from the Spring of 2014.
