During my directing class at Southern Adventist University, the directing students were given a chance to work with professional actors . The students were given one page of dialogue with no indication of action. It was up to us to direct the actors in whatever way we wanted. Each student had one hour to set everything up and shoot the scene. The actors had no idea what they would be doing prior to this hour. Then we were given one hour to edit our scenes.
All of us had the same page of dialogue but no two scenes were the same. One student did a dramatic death in a hospital bed. Another did a woman giving birth in a car. I of course went with an action scene.
This was my final product. 2 hours total time for production and post.
