00:00:55 Bryan discussed the use of a PDF file in MTC to create fabric cutting files for a quilt. He used a vector PDF file the user had submitted which had the shapes she wanted to cut. Using a vector PDF file versus a regular PDF file was discussed. Preparing the design elements for fabric cutting was the main focus of the discussion.
00:59:42 Bryan answered a question about why a shape changed size when cutting and pasting it to an existing layer. The correct steps for this are to select the shape you want to add to the layer, select Edit/Cut (Ctl+x), then select the layer to which you want to add the shape and select Edit/Paste in Place (Ctrl+Shift+V).
01:04:17 A user wanted to know how to retrieve/restore her Library shapes. Bryan demonstrated how to restore her shapes by going to Help/Advanced/Restore Shapes or by going to the Library location the MTC software created.
01:09:26 A Print n Cut question was discussed. Bryan demonstrated how to add a tab to a paper doll dress and how to make it the same color and texture as the dress. Bryan stated that MTC does not have a ‘color picker’ but there was free software available and that he would check on the name of the software.
01:28:10 The screen was transferred to Julie and she provided a demo on how to make a card folder measuring 5.5 x 4.25 which will hold 4 cards.
01:45:00 Julie demonstrated how to create a Butterfly Easel card. She pixel traced a butterfly and created the complete card from this shape.
02:06:35 Screen transferred back to Bryan. He provided the name of the color picker software he had mentioned earlier: Color Cop which is free and can be downloaded from colorcop.net.
