You have probably seen the 1 minute version of this movie, that won Marsel van Oosten First Prize in the Travel Photographer of the Year competition. As 1 minute was the maximum length for the competition, you never got to see the longer version with additional scenes. So here it is - enjoy :-)

If you want to see the amazing night sky of Namibia yourself and learn how to take great night photographs, come join us on our Namibia Untamed photo tour. Please visit for more info.

Over the years Marsel has created the most extensive and most popular night photography portfolio of Namibia on this planet. This night photography timelapse video features his most popular subjects in this amazing country: the fairytale-like quivertrees and the eery, dead camelthorn trees in Deadvlei - something that had never been done before.

Each second of video consists of 30 photographs. In total, Marsel shot more than 16,000 images over a period of two years for this project.
