In October 2013 Vlasta Delimar, Riccardo Buscarini, Juanjo Arques and Cristina Henriquez have been involved in an intense week of research, second step of Performing Gender project. This activity was organised by Gender Bender Festival, the Italian partner and coordinator of the project, and based in MAMbo - Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna. The workshop was lead by Peggy Olislaegers, director of the Dutch Dance Festival in Maastricht. Enjoy with us the magic of that inspiring experience!
Performing Gender is a European dance project making use of artistic and cultural tools to open up a civil reflection on gender and sexual orientation differences. The project invites an international group of choreographers, dancers and visual artists to share a two year voyage of research and training based in different European cities: workshops, residencies and performances will investigate the representations of sexuality and gender, challenging the artists’ identities and calling into question stereotypes and bias.
