Equal parts tongue-in-cheek sendup of postmodernism, complex investigation of divergent philosophical perspectives, surreal absurdist melodrama, and improbable college romance, Audrey vs. The Cosmos is a medium-length movie about a lot of things, but mostly the tribulations of one confused film student. Frustrated by an overabundance of self-awareness, she opts to pick a fight with the universe, whatever that means. This is a bizarre movie that only a college student would write. Self-deprecating, outrageously meta, and held together by logic that defies convention or explanation. What is literal or metaphorical is pretty much up to you.
