Two global leaders are pooling their expertise. K-Tron is becoming Coperion K-Tron. The introduction and presentation of this new network was the main goal for the booth at the 'K' plastics trade show in Düsseldorf, Germany.
For this purpose, designandsystems developed an interactive wall with a spherical projection as central element. An interactive globe in the centre provides localised knowledge and global information graphics regarding different topics.
Visitors were able to interact with the wall projection using a touch interface. The huge panorama (14 x 6 metres) did not just make an immersive impression and have a great visual impact on the booth, but it was also fully controllable by the audience.
The application was deployed to the wall using three projectors with a total resolution of 5760 x 1200 pixels.
The software, which was made with openFrameworks, features enhanced 3d-rendering methods in order to provide a maximum of visual quality and detail for such a huge projection.
In addition to the main presentation, designandsystems developed several interactive plant and product simulations to allocate detailed information of all coperion products. Furthermore, the augmented-reality delivery programme was presented in an extended version.
