Typhoon Haiyan (known in the Philippines as Typhoon Yolanda) is the second-deadliest Philippine typhoon on record, killing at least 3,982 people in that country alone.
City University London’s Student Union Society RAG (Raising and Giving) went around campus asking those to donate what they can in efforts to help those affected by the typhoon in the Philippines.
Filipino student and journalist, Ryan Chua, told his story asking those who can help, to please see it in their hearts to help his fellow countrymen.
A total of £600 was donated on the first day, Friday 15 November. The donation will continue into the following week.
