Just a small script that I have recently developed to create an expression controller that applies a Gaussian Blur over an animation (float) controller in 3dsmax. After running the script you end up with a modifier (attribute holder) that has 2 inputs and 1 output. The 1st input is the Gaussian Blur strength value. The 2nd input is the float animation controller, and the output is the blurred expression controller.
