The Avon Cinema in Providence, Rhode Island opened its doors for the first time in 1938 and continues to flourish today, screening art-house films that appeal to local residents and students at nearby colleges. This film joins its owner and staff for the celebration of its 75th anniversary.
Screened at the 2014 Rochester Int'l Film Festival, the 2014 Maryland Film Festival, and the 2015 SENE festival.

Shot on 16mm Kodak 7213 and 7219 with an Arriflex 16SR3 and Canon 6.6-66mm, Zeiss 8mm, and Century Optics 5.9mm lenses. Sound was recorded with a Schoeps MK41 and Sony lavalier to a Sound Devices 744T digital recorder. Titles and still photographs were shot by Kensington Falls Animation with an Oxberry camera. Film was processed at Alpha Cine. Edited on a Steenbeck and table-top bench. Prints and 35mm blowup by Foto-Kem. The 16mm IP was transferred to HDCAM at Foto-Kem. This version was produced from a DCP made from the HDCAM.
A 35mm print of this film is in the permanent collection at the Eastman House Museum in Rochester, NY.
