‘How We Live’ is a 15 minute documentary which travels to the front lines of energy projects across Europe. From a Serbian mine to the boardrooms of Brussels; from Welsh protesters to a Georgian TV studio, the film explores how our emotional and physical geographies are changing from the way we generate power. ’How We Live’ was filmed by Meira Valtonen and edited by Mark Ovenden with a sound design by Andrej Bako. The film was directed by Meghan Horvath, produced by Hugh Hartford of Banyak Films (UK) and was commissioned by Bankwatch with funds from the European Union.
'How We Live' premiered at the CinemAmbiente Environmental Film Festival in Turin, Italy in June 2013 and has subsequently been screened at the Kinookus Film Festival in Ston, Croatia; the International Environmental Film Festival in Barcelona and the Leeds International Film Festival as well as having been screened as part of the UN’s World Energy Day in New York City.
