The digital development of the City is going swimmingly! Digital Vendace, Midwater Zander and Reluctant Ruffe talk about the digitalisation development work of the city of Kuopio.
The indicators measuring the level of digital transformation of the Ministry of Finance’s YritysDigi project were applied to all statutory services. The results were presented in the City of Kuopio’s staff intranet.
The model of The Assessment of the Transformative Impact of Information Management required by the Act on Information Management in Public Administration was applied to the City of Kuopio’s digital services. The aim was to enable identifying the impacts of digitalisation and their monitoring and development.
The work to update Kuopio’s digitalisation roadmap also started. The digitalisation roadmap shows what’s currently going on in the city, what kind of competence is needed and how we should prepare related to digitalisation in the future.
Service development groups met regularly to discuss issues like communication among local residents, self-management during the transition, challenging management situations, the growth path and integrating results into practice. The developed services include chatbots for three different needs, a digital learning platform, and an internal channel for the ideas of the city’s staff.
Many public and community events were also organised and the Taking charge of change training has been promoted by raising awareness of digital training cards in the city. The introduction of the cards has been promoted through workshops.
Online training packages related to digitalisation were produced to the digital learning environment of the City of Kuopio’s staff. The “taking charge of change” training package included training on the virtual workshop platform.
Kuopio’s third Future Theme Day was organised with the theme “Weak signals from the metaverse and wellbeing in multi-location work”. The results of the training groups for service renewal were examined as part of the digital inspection of Kuopio.
