"These people have lost everything, they need everything and they need it very quickly" - Louise Johnston | MSF nurse
MSF has set up a clinic in the city of Tanauan which was badly damaged during Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. Due to the difficulties in blocked roads and lack of fuel, this small town has received very little aid.
The clinic has been treating people with infected wounds sustained in the Typhoon and its aftermath, as well as transferable diseases emanating from the poor state of sanitation.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.
