An Entry for the 'Well Done U' 2 Minute Film Competition, held by the 5Live Kermode and Mayo's Film Review Programme.
Shot in the month of October 2013 in just 2 weekends.
Summary: A young man sits and tries to create, frustratingly at a desk. His ideas, to him, seem poor and so he throws his idea, his thought, away into the wind, and departs his creative endeavour.
Yet the idea travels and ultimately transforms into a Tree of Imagination, where at the other end a young finds her inspiration and Ideas.
We tried to create a short fantasy genre piece, on the process of thought in creativity. The journey of a frustrated idea and how that can blossom. How it can perhaps seem poor to you, but be beautiful to another person, leading to great inspiration for them.
Sometimes looking for inspiration can be impossible and you need to let it find you, not you find it.
We wanted to evoke interesting questions such as what is imagination? (i.e. with the Tree of Imagination and its seedlings of ideas ) and how do we find inspiration? We aimed to make the film question the audience and leave it open ended, you essentially take away from it, whatever you take to it. Highlighted in the small section where the tree has disappeared; is the tree part of the girl's imagination, the young man's imagination, the audience's imagination or all?

Lost in thoughts
Nothing goes right
Where do you go when the idea is lost
On a journey through images
Imagination we follow
To grow a seed
A seed of ideas
Sitting and searching
Yet it will find you
As under your nose the most unexpected grows
The idea is found
A new thought arises
A point of creation
A thought so divine
