Works of Nicolas Roope are well known and respected all over the world — you will find his designs in MOMA, Cooper-Hewitt and V&A collections. He has received awards from Webby, One Show, D&AD, Cannes, GQ and more. But not only his interests concern advertising and digital — the spectrum of creative activities of Nicolas is truly wide. For example, recently he was named as overall winner of Brit Insurance Design of the Year thanks to his innovative approach to lightbulb design. In whatever field he leaves his footprint — you just can't stay indifferent.
Already more than 10 years Nicolas owns Poke and spends most of his time at this really vibrant and rigorous creative digital agency. When asked about the choice of the name he answers that they wanted to create works that really poked people, clients and industry, so the name of Poke fitted best. Today Poke has offices both in NY and London, it is famous for its deep and honest approach and is titled by NMA as "most respected agency".
When asked about commerce and creativity he says that in a commercial context he can't separate creativity from effectiveness. "Creativity that doesn't perform in this broader context is therefore of no interest to me," says Mr. Roope. "The best ideas aren't just fun, compelling and interesting, they deliver."
