The evening mid-week worship service at The Luke-Humble is always more than your typical Wednesday or Tuesday night "Bible Study." Take Wednesday night, November 13th for example. In addition to an inspiring and thought provoking sermon by Rev. Anthony Riley, there was also the launch of a new book.
Katherine White, author of Little Girls and their Ponytails took the stage that had been set up into sort of a late night talk show format as Rev. Riley interviewed the up and coming author about her new book.
"Tonight I am excited because we have a living parable, a living example of what it means to write the vision, our own director of Children Ministries, Katherine White, has written a book." Riley said using Katherine as an example of someone writing their vision.
White, who has been writing since she was around ten years-old said the she wrote Little Girls and Their Ponytails to teach girls to love who they are. Writing this "book has blown my mind."
