We met our friends the Chakravarthis for a nice stroll through Muir Woods outside San Francisco. Muir Woods has some of the tallest and oldest redwood trees around. Many of the trees are over 1000 years old and the oldest is over 1300 years old and 260 feet tall!
During our visit we ran into Park Ranger Aimee whom we'd met 9 months earlier during our trip to Carlsbad Caverns - what are the odds! Also, special thanks to Ranger Michelle was kind enough to give us some Muir Woods info on camera for the Kirk home movie.
Besides the trees, there was wildlife including deer and the very cool Banana Slugs! If you're visiting San Francisco and want a change from the typical urban site seeing then I recommend a visit.
