Mashatu and Mala Mala reserves are located in Botswana and South Africa respectively. They are arguably the best destinations in Southern Africa to experience extraordinary "wildlife on tap". Between these two privately owned reserves one can expect to see huge elephant herds, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, lions and rhinos.. leaving little remaining on the Southern African "bucket list".
This film was shot during a "Big Cat's" tour run by photographic safari companies- Iconic Images and C4 Images. Also involved was world-renowned photographer, Art Wolfe.
Over the course of his 30-year career, Art Wolfe has worked on every continent and in hundreds of locations. His stunning images interpret and record the world's fast-disappearing wildlife, landscapes, and native cultures, and act as a lasting inspiration to those who seek to preserve the very subjects recorded in Art's images. His photographs are recognized throughout the world for their mastery of color, composition and perspective.
Art's extraordinary talent coupled with his giving nature makes him one of the most sort-after photographers in the world for any expedition. It was an honor to film and work alongside Art. I'd like to say a huge thank you to him for his time, energy and passion.
I would also like to thank Denis Glennon from Iconic Images International and Shem Compion from C4 Images+Safaris for commissioning this film and running Art's highly successful last public photographic tour.
