This is a video I created for a production of John Webster's 17th-century tragedy "The White Devil" which I directed with my students at Hofstra University. Isabella, a saintly wife murdered by her philandering husband, reappears as a ghost to spur her brother on to avenge her death. In the production, the ghost appeared simultaneously on two projection screens and twenty-five video monitors of various sizes scattered around the set.
The video features Shanna Brown as Isabella; costume by Meganne George; and lighting by Rych Curtiss.
Shot (using green-screen) with a Canon XHA1s, stock lens in standard def (due to playback limitations). Edited with FCE and CGM Aged Film filter.
