Growing Pains follows childhood best friends who face the tumultuous transition from middle to high school as their friendship drifts apart.

Growing Pains—a semi-autobiographical story inspired by writers Catherine and Mariana's experience as a Stage 3 childhood cancer survivor and lesbian latina —premiered at Chelsea, Santa Monica, and Boston International Film Festivals, won Lonely Seal International Film Festival, and received the ReFrame Stamp from Sundance Institute and WIF. It was featured on the Nielsen Diversity Spotlight with Disability Belongs at Sundance 2024. In November 2025, it will launch globally on Tubi through the Tubi x Kickstarter FilmStream Collective, and will be represented by Hammad Zaidi at the Marché du Film 2026 in Cannes.
