On the anniversary of our nation having spent five years in Iraq, there were events acknowledging the date across the country. One such event was outside a church in Encino, Southern California. I can tell you that the vehicles going by were overwhelmingly supportive. Even three police cars honked and flashed their lights. The mood was mixed in that our thoughts were with the men and women who are still serving as well as all those who've payed the ultimate price and the families of all those people. There is no stronger way of supporting our troops than wanting them to come home safe and sound. In the mean time, making sure they have what they need to do the job they do, and to remain safe and sound where they are. Please don't take this as a political statement, it's not, it's merely a human statement. I think we'd all agree in a perfect world, we want them home.
