This gripping ride the journey of a brother and sister as they set out on a cross-country hitchhiking adventure from Montréal, Québec to Courtnay, British Columbia. Their goal is to meet the mother who disappeared from their lives sixteen years earlier. Desertion by their mother left psychological marks on both siblings, particularly 21 year old Harmony, who lived on the streets for two years and had a child at age seventeen. Adam, 23, meanwhile has become a fiercely independent loner. What starts off as an idyllic reunion soon disintegrates as reality sets in, and the siblings discover that the reunion raises more questions than it answers.
