THE SAYRE FIRE OF 2008
While we sit back and enjoy Thanksgiving, it is also a time to remember that five years ago, the Sayre Fire created the worst loss of homes in Los Angeles history. The fire created a windstorm of over 80 MPH. This is November, traditionally a cold, damp month, but the fire danger is still there. We live in a mountain community that is so fragile, that one uncontrolled ember from a BBQ can create a holocaust beyond belief.
Enjoy your family, your home, and remember, be safe.
